SmithicAir is the creation of Mike Smith.  He uses the DJI Matrice 30T,  DJI Mavic 3 Classic, and DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Thermal  for his work.  Mike has been hired to take photos and video of real estate listings, athletic events, businesses, churches, golf courses, and private residences.  He also does pet recovery and deer carcass recovery where allowed by law.  He has a remote pilot certification from the FAA which allows him to fly his drone commercially.  SmithicAir provides Professional Aerial Photography, Professional Aerial Videography, Aerial Inspection Services, Aerial Thermal Inspection Services and Photography, Aerial (Drone) Deer and Pet Recovery Services (where allowed by law), Cattle Locating Services and 360 Tours (like Matterport Tours and Google Streetview Maps).  Since his clients have to work around his availability, his rates are very competitive as seen on the different service pages.  Feel free to contact him with questions or special pricing offers.  Mike lives in Bartlett, works as an administrator at a high school in Des Plaines, is a real estate agent in the Fox Valley region of Illinois, and has a passion for flying UAVs (drones).  He has a Bachelor of Science from Illinois College (IC which is why it is smithIC) and a master's degree from Northern Illinois University.  He is married with two adult children.  

Patience and flexibility are required when hiring a drone photographer for outside shots.  The weather must be conducive for flying, and the operation must be conducted safely.  The most important concern is safe and legal flying.  Occasionally a waiver is required when flying under certain conditions.  This waiver can take some time to be approved by the FAA.
